This is a scam. Recorded type of message saying I have been charged $199.95 to my ‘Info Account’. Called back on another phone and very briefly heard very busy sounding call centre with Indian accents.

Scam, message left to phone back on another number starting with 08 (not 07) to speak with a representative to cancel the order 🤔 - what order and with what company. Methinks it’s a scam call to elicit my bank details....

100% Scam - I called back and "Max Williams" said that my credit card had an unauthorised charge of $199.95 for ebay gift cards. They needed to install Teamviewer Quick support to issue the refund. (There a couple of variant on what is next, but usually they "make a mistake" and deposit on your account $1,999.95 or $19,999.5 and you have to "return" the money with gift cards or they lock out of your PC and you have to pay them to unlock it.)

Same old tactics. So for those new to this: First, check your bank/credit card account online and if everything looks ok, them do nothing. If something is wrong, them call the bank directly. DO NOT call back to that number.

1) Just had these MoFo call me...missed call on my mobile! I called back & eventually got thru. A very male in a Pilipino accent replied (with a very noisy background). I asked him why they called me... & he said to check my Ebay order...(what Ebay order??)

2) When I asked him how he got my mobile number ... he said that they got it from the Police! (Really ... why & how do companies get peoples number from the Police... YEAH RIGHT!

3) I asked the man to confirm that they are calling from the Philippines, he said that he is calling from 'Greenland' ... and started crapping on about not having power in 'Greenland'..... then I hung up!!!

Left me a voicemail saying I was charged 199.00 on my account and to call back. I have blocked the number as this is obviously a scam. I did not return the call. These idiots need to get a life!!!!

Its a fake I followed the prompts to waist their time. It is amazing how quickly they drop the call we you talk to them about how you have a friend who is a detective and wants to speak to them I don't have such a friend but its fun to hear the reaction.

Missed call and as showed Brisbane number I called back. Phone answered by an Indian sounding accent asked me about approving a purchase for Ebay Prime for 199.99 dollars. I said I would call back as it made no sense. No I realise its a scam. Thanks for sharing.

Everything that's been posted on this thread reflects the experience I had. Told me they were from eBay, that I'd been charged X amount of dollars for a premium eBay service. Said my number was not secure. When they probed me for more information I hung up and blocked the number.
