My Samsung Phone reports this as a spam number so I didn't answer. I took a home loan with ING recently so wouldn't be surprised if they are bugging to cross sell.

I finished a online quote from ING about 30 minutes ago and going by the above comments it looks like that was them. I blocked the number. I didn't ask for a phone call that's why the online quoting system is in place!

Urgh - so they call, listen to voicemail message then hang up after it has started recording! So they are filling my voicemail with blank messages. Wont be using them for the insurance now just based on this stupid practice

Caller: ING I GUESS BY THIS THREAD Stupidly I put my real mobile number in when doing an on-line quote. I usually just use an old mobile number I used to have to get past that step. So if Optus re-cycled that number then I'm sure they are fed up with nuisance calls!

Caller: ? Ing insurance Message left : some female saying hello Carmel he Carmel he Carmel hello Carmel are you there hey Carmel are you there. No message left. Was expecting confirmed quote via email. Anyway way too many questions, some none of their rammed business. And seems no cover at all if a driver not listed happens to drove the car. Most policies charge an excess for named policies but don't cut cover altogether. Too ruddy expensive anyway at least double my current policy for much the same cover.

The other 17 calls in 2 days (3 in 2 minutes today) have been ignored but will be blocking the number. Best way for them to lose customers.
