Today I came in to get an ultrasound i am having my first baby, so it is all a big step for me. I had booked it in. Scheduled the time off work (as well as my partner) was up bright and early and really excited to see our baby for the first time. I had arrived 10 minutes prior for my appointment, as i was intructed to do & got to reception only to find out that I could not get my scan done & it was all my fault. There were two young receptionists who were sincere, they asked for confirmation from a senior who could help them furthur, she came out and said no your booked it for the wrong scan? The scan you are meant to have takes 1 hour apposed to the half hour scan & we cannot fit you in today. when i had booked 2 weeks proir.. they did not ask me how far i am? Or what type of pelvic scan i was getting? I think its pretty unfair that its my fault i did not tel them, im new to this and it was my first ultrasound. You would think that the team would check? So these sort of things dont happen. Because being embarrsed and argued with, over somthing that was not your fault is not write. I should not be the one to blame, yet no apologies or effection was shared on your behalf.
