Caller: Scammer SCAMMER! VERY heavy Indian accent. Tried to say they’re from Telstra, I asked what the call is regarding and she said she was calling about my internet connection… I asked her if she’s sure about that to which she said “yes I am ma’am”, I asked if she wants to try that again, she said “sorry ma’am?” And when I asked her who my internet connection is with (spoiler alert, it’s not Telstra) she hung up on me… when I tried to call back the automated message said I’d reached “Diamond Plaza” (who I have missed calls from in the past from different numbers, so they were likely the same scam)

Caller: They claimed that they were from Ebay SCAMMER! VERY heavy Asian accent. Stated they’re from Ebay & that they'd detected a fraudulent $500 order from California on my account. I told her that it's not my order & to cancel it. When she started going on about wanting to know my IP address I asked why. I suggested that she was a scammer & she should be ashamed of herself she proceeded to convince me about her credentials & gave me her Ebay employee # EIN (07) 7043 0924 I asked her how do I know that this is legitimate? She proceeded to tell me that I could check online. I said how do I do that? She said go to your browser & type in "what is my IP" & when you do this you can see a red flag that says your IP has been compromised. I told her that this is impossible as I have a very secure VPN setup & there's no chance that this is the case. At this point I had another number calling from Bathurst (02) 5303 1728. So I hung up on the original call & got a heavy Indian voice asking why I hung up. To which I replied who are you? He hung up immediately. I suspect it was from the same scammer centre. Just to be sure I changed my IP server address via my VPN software.
