I got a call from this number yesterday afternoon saying they wanted to confirm my details in my super fund. I got suspicious when they gave me the wrong information about myself. DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION its some sort of scam

I just received a call from this number as well.  As I dont pick up any numbers I dont recognise I left it to go to voicemail.  They did not leave a message.

I've read the other comments here and I am currently with recruitment super.  However even if this is legit, I would not confirm my details over the phone, especially if they are using a third party to obtain the information they require.  If they really wanted to confirm with us, the caller would leave a message asking us to call back.

Also recruitment super should have notified their members that this would be happening, if it is what they are doing.

Another thing, I have heaps of other super funds with other companies, why is it JUST recruitment super having to confirm information?  That does make one wonder whats happening on their end.

I too got a phone call to my mobile of (07) 3335 5599 at 7.04pm tuesday night but cos i had my mobile on silent i didnt even anwer it so no i know not to answer it if they ring up again.

I just had a call from this number, they said they were from my super annuation company and wanted to confirm my details.  I've done numerous temp jobs over the past few months and haven't bothered consolidating super funds so I know I'm with a few and assumed these guys were one of them as they said.  Not really thinking about it I said sure.  They said before we can continue we need to confirm your identity and asked for my full name, DOB and address, all of which I gave them without thinking.  Then they asked if I wanted to receive my yearly statement via email instead of hard copy and I said sure and gave them my email address. Then they asked if I was interested in consolidating my super accounts and I said yes.  They said they'd send me out some details.  They said if I returned the forms within two keeps with a copy of identification they'd give me two free movie tickets.  I said cool. They asked if they could call again in 12 months to confirm my details and I said I'd probably be away and they said ok.End of call.Shortly after I realised the call was pretty fishy and I may have gone and done something rather stupid.  They now have my name, dob, address, email address and if I went ahead with their 'super consolidation' they would have a copy of whatever identification that they requested as well. Some of the comments above suggest they are legitimate but if not they have a whole lot of my personal information.  I will certainly look into this further.  I will try and report back with my findings.

If it is super, then you need to be careful. You can find our own lost super without giving out any info. I am getting this call as well to my mobile as i give that out rather than my home phone number. I think its a scam
