Called but didn't leave a message

Blocked by Google and labelled SPAM. Tried calling back from a phone booth to check if it is a real number, the call could not be connected so it's a fake. I have been getting lots of attempted scam calls from fake landline numbers like this lately.
I just checked my phone history, this one also attempted to call me on 29th June at about the same time, 4:30pm. Probably assumes I'm in Sydney or Melbourne and is trying to call around dinner time like the real telemarketers used to. Since I am on the Do Not Call Register, can assume this is not a legit marketing company. Also been getting attempted scams using fake mobile numbers, always with Philippines accents, either fake Telstra NBN (I'm with neither), "Your Amazon/ebay/etc account has been charged..." or fake tax dept calls. I know it's best not to answer at all, I have a 2nd SIM card I don't use and the calls are on that number; I've been picking up just to see which scam it is. I'm bored with it now and have removed the SIM.

If you are being pestered by these calls, the way to make them stop is to never answer, or preferably to block them. It's easy on a mobile, just block all callers not in your contacts list. If your mobile cannot do that, download an app to do so like Calls Blacklist, you can block all numbers with a certain prefix (eg. I'm in Perth so all 02, 03, 07 numbers), all private numbers or even anything not in your contacts. They can always leave a voicemail if legit; the scammers never do. Once they have been blocked every time for a while the calls slow down and eventually stop; peace at last!

Another scammer from 07 3130 2130 so just block it. The police should disconnect the number to prevent them harassing people.

Fake landline as the caller was from India. Tried to get me to use their company to do my webpage. As if I'd trust someone using a fake landline. SCAMMER.
