Caller: don't know

Called me by my surname and said I had bought a gift card on eBay then kept insisting that if I hadn't done that I had to cancel immediately and he would put me through to someone to get "my details" to carry out the cancellation. I don't think so.

Got missed call then voice msg saying $299 would be deducted from my account. Called back & a man with heavy indian accent said he was from ebay & I had purchased an itunes card. Ive never ever had an ebay account! He was very persistent that i needed created an account to cancel the account, yeh that makes sense! Said I would call him back & he was very forceful in asking how long it would i take to call him back. Also when i do call back ask to speak to Tony Wilson(sounded like a normal Indian mans name)
Called my bank to advise & they said they've had a few people call with same thing. Becareful people

I missed beginning of recorded message but female voice said $299.99 would be deducted from my account unless I called to cancel it. I turned off my mobile phone because I am a suspicious creature. When I reactivated it, I ran Malwarebytes. All good. I will refer this scam to ACMA.

Received a recorded call regarding a $299.99 for something I had supposedly ordered (of which I did not) wanting me to press one to cancel or something. I am not that stupid to fall for such scammer crap. These pests should go back to where they came from and/or get a real job. Number blocked and reported to scam watch. Bugger off.

Damn they are back! I had not had scammer calls for about 3 months now (washoping COVID got them all) but this lot called and said I had had $125 taken out of my account for iTunes and to call for a refund if this wasnt something I had ordered. They told me that I had to give them all my details so they could refund the money -- yeah-- sure

Claimed to be from Ebay regarding an unauthorised purchase. I phoned back as it sounded dodgy - Indian woman with a lot of background noise - and asked her to identify she was from ebay by telling me what my last purchase was. As I suspected she could not and she hung up on me. It’s a scam
