Claiming to be CBA fraud department. I don’t bank with CBA

Called my work mobile - apparently they were checking if I had authorised a purchase of bitcoin for $900 - they were from the CBA - I don't bank with the CBA - according to the caller though ALL banks are interconnected so it doesn't matter what bank they are from - they called my work mobile which isn't linked to any bank accounts - once I told them that I heard him yelling at his college and then they hung up.

Scammer.

If you link social media accounts to websites like flatmates.com , they are getting your details thru that method. Then they call.

The scammer called my number and left a voicemail in Chinese.

Suspected Spam - Claimed an overseas transaction had taken place on my Visa Card. I don't have a Visa Card

They tried calling back 8 times from at least four or five different numbers in Syd Perth and Melbourne. Told me that they were from Telstra But I don’t have an account with Telstra. Then they proceeded to call for at least five minutes. I wanted them to go to voicemail but they never left a message and I blocked each of the numbers..

Claimed to be from Telstra offering 50% discount on Internet. Told them I dont have Telstra account but they probed for info I did not give them. They then sent e mail to me which APPEARED tp be from Telstra but requested me to click 'link' to reset my account password. I didn't do this of course since I dont have a Telstra account any more & of course I dont need to reset my password. Clearly a sophisticated scam, well known to Telstra as I checked, which would take you to a 'fake' Telstra URL requesting ID & other info from you. Very dangerous. Ignore these people.

David at this number purported to be fro PayPal and it was regarding a transaction which I never made.

When I answered the call it was a voice message saying it was a call from PAYPAL security

Hung up after I answered call without speaking.

Claimed to be calling about a security breach on my visa card. Thought it was strange the name of the person, my name, or bank name wasn't mentioned. Asked again who it was. She said she is from the Anz bank.. I'm not with the Anz bank. I hung up..

Guy named “Peter” pretended to be Telstra and said I had an issue with my internet. Told them I’m not with Telstra and they hung up on me.
