Caller: Telstra

Received a call from a woman with Indian accent in a very noisy call centre telling me my IP address was in the public domain and compromised. She wanted to help me change my IP address and put it into the private domain. When I questioned her to prove her legitimacy, she gave me some random employee number and station number. I asked her to send me an email with the issue, and she hung up. SCAM!

Jog on idiots…… obviously a scam call

Call on my landline. Delay being connected when I answered the call - 1st sign of a SCAMMER. Female caller claimed to be from Telstra Cyber Security & that 15 outsiders were using my internet. Claimed that she could show me who they were & how to block them by guiding through the process on my computer. When I started to ask for proof that she was from Telstra, telling me something only Telstra & I would know like how much my last phone bill was (she would have to tell me not only the amount but also whether it was for my mobile or landline/internet as I get a bill for each of them) she terminated the call. 2nd sign of a SCAMMER.
Reading the other comments confirms the call was a SCAM call.

We need to be using UAVs to eliminate these scammers. They are a waste of oxygen .

Called about a recent purchase on my ebay account. SCAM as I do not have an EBAY account

I answered the call only to hear a woman with an Indian accent claiming to be from telstra and wanting to talk to me about my internet. At that point I hung up.

Called claiming to be from Visa/ Mastercard. Couldn’t tell me which bank he was calling from just said “all of them”

Pretended to be ANZ and when I say I don’t have an account with ANZ she hung up the call.

stating I was having issues with my computer and that they needed to go in to fix the problem. I don’t have a computer as travelling with I pad. Told them to F…k of scamer
