Answers with a pause. Don't worry sir, I'm not trying to sell anything, but we're completing a survey. Just got a call from this number - same deal as the others - I could barely understand the man's English. He said he was calling from "Entice Engagement Centre". I tried to clarify multiple times the name of the company that he was calling from. Googling this company yields no results. I have no idea how they got my number - maybe from giving it to a lady at the Rocklea Markets recently for a possible prize - which I thought was not a good idea at the time.
He said he was doing a survey on the standard of living in my area and I could win a $100 voucher. I doubt any good can come from this. I have shared this against this phone number on other sites that record dodgy phone numbers too.
Was asking me lots of questions about my superannuation and that they can help with sorting it out and making sure i had the right policy. She proceeded with the questions, then asked if i was a smoker and what my height and weight was. I immediately asked what her reasoning behind these questions she couldnt answer me so i hung up and blocked the number. Same, these guys are calling me twice a day now and I let it ring out knowing if it's important people leave a voice mail these days- I am adding to blocked numbers now as they are never going to give up and I'm never answering until they leaver a message - called them back and got the same dodgy message bank with no name business contact or anything - just asking to leave a message Caller: Guardian Financial
Asking about my superannuation accounts, insurances and offering a “complimentary” financial check. Indian guy on the line couldn’t answer basic questions about financial planning and sounded very nervous (I have a degree in Fin Planning). Don’t trust these types of cold calls. They’re not a reputable company and are just risk writers.
Drives me nuts, sometimes 3 attempts per day from this number. I just don't answer. I need to buy a hi tech phone that can block numbers. Worth it to get away from all this! Caller: Guardian Financial
Said something about me being in default and asking how many superannuation accounts I have. I terminated the call there.
I called this number back after receiving 2 missed calls from them, only to receive a message that the number is not connected Persitent pest callers with Indian accents Called me asking how many super accounts I have and that I may be in default I terminated the call missed call and no message left - Caller: An idiot
Wanted to give me a “complimentary financial plan” by asking me a bunch of questions about my Super Fund. c*nt hung up on me
A lady supposeidly from Guardian, wants to inform you about your super policy insurances and when you last updated it. I left the conversation there.
It's funny when you recall theses numbers they're always disconnected
Caller: Guardian Financial Planning
When I answered the phone it sounded like a call centre, i asked whether this was a marketing call and she advised she was calling from Guardian Financial. She went on to say that she was calling about my super, I hung up and googled the company and the phone number did not match any of the 3 entries I found. I have blocked the number.
Left a long message. Noisy background. Waste of time
Same deal as above Phone numbers have been in circulation for years. Mobiles numbers you have use to belong to other users of that number. Hence if you were to disconnect your mobile and ask for a new number your number is up for grabs to anyone else on another service. And you will end up with a number that belonged to someone else once upon a time ago. And if that number was used to give to others then its already in circulation through online sites or local businesses and you will end up receiving calls that you never wanted. After a pause having answered my phone I was greeted with English that was so poor I had to ask again where he was calling from and still didn't understand. I simply told him I was not interested and hung up. Wish I knew how they got my number. Today I have a call from a similar (07) number but I missed that one Some survey. Sounded like a computer voice that I couldn't understand.
I'm on the do not call register.
I told him this. He said he was calling from Australia and it was a survey of research. What research I'll never know.
He said my name was on a list.
I told him it was against the law to call me. He replied he won't sell me anything. Kept talking so I hung up
Yes, me too. Just blocked this caller. How do they get our mobile numbers?

Load background music. Hung up immediately as the call appeared to be a typical scam intro.
