Do not trust anybody calling from this number! The lady who called stated that she was from the electricity company and tried to get my elderly mother (who is in the early stages of Alzheimer's) to purchase an energy saving device, which my mother was about to direct deposit into her bank account. They also had a man that called back to get my mothers credit card details, which she gave to them. Luckily I made it to the bank to cancel her cards before they had taken any of her money, which they must've realised this afternoon, because they called back to tell her hat she had given an invalid credit card number.
Be very carful of these guys people, they are clearly preying on the vulnerable

Called saying she was from the Electricity board asking for my mum to put phone banking on her phone as she needs to deposit money into her account as they were crediting $250 for power due to Covid, my mum did not give her banking details as she does not do phone banking on her mobile, but gave her daughters mobile phone number to them, I have now deleted my banking app from my phone and have alerted the bank. My mum is elderly.

Michelle called me saying she was from Visa/Mastercard and that there was a person overseas trying to access my visa card. She knew my name and address but then asked for my visa card number. I became wary and asked her return number. thye number above. Asian accent. this is a scam.

Claimed to be intending to refund payment for item paid for in August that could not be supplied. Caller ID was NSW number (02) 8598 9541 when caller claimed to be ringing from (07) 3053 8639. Rang back several times which I did not answer. Very dubious. Obviously phishing for a credit card number.

"Sarah" contacted a frail, aged lady saying that they were giving away $300 to pensioners for Christmas and wanted to know her bank details. No details were given out. (When I called back lady with an accent, claimed it was a home number and didn't know anything about it!)
