Indian guy , called from ATO to arrest me if I do not pay for the penalty. I have block this number. Coz it called me 2years ago. I have reported to ATO. ATO will send letters before take any action. And told me that is a scam.

To call back to sort out incorrectly filled tax refunds otherwise they will commence legal action. ATO confirmed that this is a scam and will not threaten anything like this over the phone as there is a process to follow prior to any actions.

Robo call left a voicemail message threatening to have a warrant issued and legal action taken up against me. Didn’t say where they were from but urged me to call them immediately. Needless to say I didn’t call.

Purportedly the ATO threatened legal action and immediate arrest warrant. I Called back, the person appeared to be Indian but ended the call abruptly when asked for credentials to verify origin of call and my refusal to give my details.

So I called back, asked him what he said because I didn’t understand and he declined.

Left a threatening voice message ,that I would be arrested if I didn’t call back

A law suit was about to taken out by the tax office against me.

this is clearly a scam. Don't answer and don't call back!

Alleged call from Australian Tax Office...Must return call as lawsuit filed at very moment of call, and arrest warrant issued.
