said they were from Canon printers wanting me to download new drivers

Said they were from Hewlett Packard wanting me to download new drivers for my old printer. They said it was still under warranty and it would all be free but when questioned, she gave me the number mentioned here and said they were located in Melbourne. Also, my printer is very old, not new, so not still under warranty, definitely a scam.

Telling me they were from Canon and telling me I needed to update my drivers. Offering to assist. I do have a Canon printer, but it seems strange that they'd be ringing customers like that. Surely an email would do as I had to register for warranty when I bought it.

Had a call from this number today, said i needed to download new soft wear for my printer, Told them I was not giving them access to my computer thats when the lady said N0 No the new software is downloaded into the printer not into my computer, hung up on them and now they keep calling me..Have now blocked number

I checked this site so I’m grateful for the comments. I haven’t answered this number but they are persistent… 5 calls in a couple of days. Now blocked.

They keep calling for updates said they are from hp and Ur printer need to be updated when I called the number back doesn't ring it's seems scam
