Definitely a scam! I will contact paypal and the police about it.

Caller: Said they were NBN but were a scammer

BEWARE SCAMMERS!!! A woman with an Indian accent said to my elderly mother that she was calling from NBN. There was a lot of background noise and it sounded like a call centre. She told Mum that their computer [which is 100 years old and probably hasn't been used for 10 years and might not even work!] was running too slow so could she turn it on and the lady could make it run faster. My Mum has no idea how to turn it on so gave the phone to my elderly father. She repeated the same to my father and said she could make it run faster and made some reference to copper. She then tried to "up the ante" by saying "oh I can see red flashing lights you better turn it on and follow my instructions". My Dad said "no I don't understand what you are talking about" and she again tried to make him turn on the computer. He said "no" again. She said forcefully "why not?" and he said "where are you from" and she said "NBN". She was becoming quite insistent but as my Dad just said 'no' she ended up hanging up.

Lots of call centre noise in the background only for about 15 seconds, the male voice that finally responded was garbled so I hung up! Highly suspect this is a scam call :(

I received a call from (07) 2113 2451 She asked if she was speaking with me (my name) I replied I was paying for my goods could she ring me back. I hung up. I rang the number back 2 mins later and the call went to message bank "This voice mailbox is full and cannot accept any messages at this time". I have not received a further call.

Returning the call only lands at a, "This voice mail box is full and cannot accept any messages at this time". Given there is no previous history of this number, and I certainly am not expecting a call from 07, scam alert!
