They called my mobile phone and claimed they were Telstra and they tried to hack my computer

This number rang me but when in answered they quickly disconnected.

Have rec'd a 2nd call from this number - when I answer, its a pre-recorded / automated msg claiming to be a fraud FYI heads-up call to me from paypal, about a charge to my paypal of $700 or something. It said press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to approve. I pressed 1. It went thru to a call centre and an accent answered it (surprise-not). she repeated the above information to me. I asked "when did this attempted charge to my paypal happen?" she goes 5am this morning. I asked "is this the exact same thing that happened also last week?" and she hung up on me (surprise-not).

Automated message supposedly from PayPal saying there was a charge of $700 and to press 1 if not me.

It was an computerised automated message stating that my PayPal Account was going to be charged $800 for Gift Card purchases and if it wasn’t me to Press 1.

Claimed to be from Telstra offering 15% discount. Not believe it was a genuine call from Telstra made at 7pm in the evening

Said they were Telstra billing, never been with Telstra

Claimed they are from Telstra and saying that our computer was somehow affecting their internet lines. LOL. Whatever you do, dont type in anything they ask on your computer because they will try to access your computer and they will lock it untl you give them money to unlock it. Whenever they call, just tell them you dont have a computer or any interent and they will just hang up on you. I hope karma gets them all.

Said they were from Telstra to tell me my land line would be unavailable between 5 and 5:30 pm. A scam. Thanked him and hung up. What would the scammer get from this?

Bank fraud dept asking about a Visa withdrawal-very very pushy. Said was contacting my bank to confirm-I did & they
had not seen anything in our
account. ll

I received a text message saying I'd missed a call from this number but my phone didn't ring and it was sitting right next to me.

Must be phishing for active numbers
