Fund raisers making unsolicited calls

I appreciate the above comments about (07) 2112 7266. Plus I received a phone call from (07) 2112 7275. Very wary of numbers I don't know, as we have already been scammed for &10,000.

Caller: Woman called Lucy from charity. More of a slick scammer.

Woman who says her name is Lucy rings first from a number with prefix 02 or 03 to see if you answer, then rings from this mobile number. Uses many various numbers and even though I say do not ring again rings constantly. Gives 10% less of donation that she asks for to the actual charity and needs to be reported. Avoid!

called a few times now, asking for suicide charity money.

if thoughts could kill the scammer would be gone by now! Frustrated every single day with these horrible beasts

Yet another call from a number starting with 07 2112 72 with the last 2 digits changed. Called my mobile almost immediately after calling my landline.

I don’t answers these calls at all now. They ring daily. Two different numbers and same time every day. A female was on end of phone today, I picked up the call by mistake and heard her.

Just do not answer. They never leave a message.

Lucy from some charity, sounds sickly sweet, says she won't waste much of your time, ABSOLUTELY will waste as much of your time as she possibly can. Will not let you get a word in edgewise, calls multiple times a week. Just hang up asap and block, don't worry about being polite, nothing will stop her from launching into it and asking you for thousands of dollars today. Super-scammy!!

Called me at 30/01/2023 10:12am - didn't leave a message ( i let it ring through instead of picking up )

After reading the above messages, I've blocked this number!
Initially was called at 3.35pm WST, seeing as it was from a Qld number which seemed past their closing time I didn't answer and there was no message left on the voice to text service so this immediately seemed to be not a genuine caller.

I appreciate your warnings. I have a list beside my phone of numbers who called and were soliciting. I don't answer.

Didn't revise the number so didn't answer. This has become standard practice for me.

Missed a call from this number, went to voicemail. The caller, “Lucy Edwards” left a boo r message which seems to have been prerecorded. The message talked about calling from a Charity.

This caller has called through from various different landline numbers on the east coast.

Block!

Hung on long enough to go through from landline to mobile but no message left.
