Scam caller saying they’re a compensation lawyer and telling you you’ve been in a car accident and they’re chasing you they go on to ask for payment they’re really brazen I said this is a scam and I’m going to report you and they say this is not a scam you owe the other person in the car accident money and you need to pay it now and they kept on talking just hang up and report them

Filipino "federal agent" wanted to arrest me on false money laundering charges. Said my arrest would be rescinded if I purchased $3000 worth of gift cards for him. Joker of the century.

They somehow knew my name, and was calling from Brisbane, my city, so I answered. They talked about compensation about a car accident I supposedly caused, so I just hung up.

Looks like unusual number for Brisbane - did not answer the call and no message left on voicemail

Scam artists asking about recent automobile accident and chasing insurance claim.

Misses the call, but unknown number so wouldn't have answered. Called didn't leave a message. I find this an odd (07) Qld phone number to begin with.
