Called me saying my friends put my name down for free carpet cleaning. She knew my friends names, my suburb, my name and my number but when I asked my friends about it they had no clue what I was talking about.. I guess I'll find out tomorrow when they are supposed to be arriving

Yes, it is a carpet cleaning demo mob, wanting you to buy their products. I stupidly gave them my number after a door-to-door pitch. I have ignored their calls for 2 months, but they are damned persistent and keep trying, with the last number of the phone number as a variant for different numbers used. You would think they would get the message and stop trying well before the 20th freaking call! I just sent them a text asking them to take my number off their lists. Will see if that helps. Annoyingly, I have been getting a call from another local marketing mob ever since I gave these guys my number. It could be a coincidence, but I don't believe it is, given they started at the same time, and are from the same local area.

Caller: Queensland "Home Care" selling Kirby vacuum cleaners at triple their market value rang my partner after 7:30 pm after he mistakenly gave a door knocking pushy young woman his number last week. I overheard her asking him " what do you do during the day?" and "what is your partner's name?" which had me pretty angry at the innappropriateness of the questions. Next step - telling them to take his number off their database or risk a very bad Google review. If you're reading this anyone working for Queensland Home Care/Kirby Vacuums: stop attempting to scam people with cognitive issues - you're not doing yourselves any favours with word-of-mouth advertising. You just look like disgusting people.

No reply when I answered but called me only a few days after a door knocker from Qld Home Care gave me a voucher for money off your mortgage, your rent or a free carpet clean, etc. In a moment of weakness I gave him my number to "Activate" the voucher.

QLD Home Care sells Kirby Vacuums. If you apply for a job with them, this is the number they call you back on. But obviously it is a line that they use to call potential customers as well.

its definitely the carpet mob- a friend of mine gave my number out and warned me after the fact and I've been receiving phone calls twice a day since from various numbers- each time I google search the number the feeds say "carpet mob". I've not answered any of the calls, no messages are being left and i'm just blocking each number after i confirm its them. THIS IS HARASSMENT! we should be able to do something about it.

Caller: Kirby vac scam I also stupidly gave a contact number, just to get the salesman off my porch. I have daily been receiving calls (2 or more at the beginning) from 0427 579 258, 0499 794 009 and 0499 794 007. In this instance , persistence will not pay off, just makes me dislike the tactics of these scammers even more.
