A typical scammer. He speaks Mandarin with an accent commonly heard in South China or Southeast Asia. He knows my name and pretends to be someone I’m acquainted with, but avoids identifying himself. He invited me to lunch at ‘the place we met last time.’ Later, he called again claiming he urgently needed money for ....

This appears to be a real, active mobile number - the person answered when I called back the first time.

New Scammer. Call me and ask me go to his office tomorrow. I asked who are you? he answered why you don't remember me? I answered no I don't. He said we had dinner last time. I answered I cannot remember, what is your name again? He said maybe wrong number and simply hang up.

Called me and asked to meet up at an office of his, no idea who it is. Desperately trying to convince me he knew me, got him to say his name (Josh Li, supposedly) but it might be a fake John Doe (making up a name on the spot out of desperation). Told me to call him back once I "remember who he is" and hung up...

This guy spoke in Chinese (mainland Chinese),led him on until he worked out he was caught and hung up. But pretended to know you and meet for dinner etc… when led him in for an address .. hung up.
