Caller: "Mum" 'Scammer'

In my contacts my mother's number was changed to 0491 692 486 so I had a missed call from my mother. I called back again and again but everytime it kept talking about being a 'charity' and that if i didnt want calls from them I can go to Horatio.com and send an email to make it stop. It would then go to messagebank. Mother called me to tell me I had called her first but I had thought she had. My number was fine in her phone but mine had been changed. I did not have a lock on my phone set up yet as it was new so my security for hackers may have been down.

Back story: I had supported a charity for "green peace" on facebook by signing a petition to save the orangutans a few months ago. I would get calls and calls every week and they would change their end digits so it looked like another caller. I got smart and blocked the first 4 digits that matched and it stopped for a month. After reading the comment about greenpeace I'm thinking it's all related.

I hung up a mediately and blocked the number
