This was a text message from my bank with the final 4 numbers of my actual card

Text message saying from my bank that there was a fraudulent transaction on my account.
They knew the last four digits of my card.
Scam.

Caller: Said it was on behalf of my bank

Got the message saying my debit card is on hold, due to it not being able to pay for a particular transaction that was pending. Did not ring the number the text suggested, but checked my bank account and there were a series of transactions today that I did not authorise! Rather than ringing the number provided I rang my bank. They cancelled the card, and we've begun the process to recover the money stolen. So, the text was helpful in that it alerted me to being scammed, which I otherwise would not have known. However, I rang the bank, not the number listed in the text. I recommend you do the same if you get the same sort of text from this number.

MSG from fraud dept with actual card number - I panicked and answered No to the supposed transaction. And because it’s a public holiday can’t call my bank

Same TEXT message as above with last 4 digits of my card. If they are really legit they should include MY NAME & some of my personal info as the bank should have these.

This is a legit number used by banks to confirm payments when they seem suspicious (in my case, a payment I made in USD). I received this text AS SOON as I made my purchase.
It knew the time of purchase, merchant and the last 4 digits of my card and includes the phone number for the fraud bureau service.
If you did not authorise payments confirmed from this number contact your bank

Caller: 0489 988 024 text

As above, had last 4 digits of my card. Told me my card had been attempted to be used for US dollars, in the amount of $39.97. @ PLUSHIEFACE.COM .. I have never heard of it before.
The text asked me to reply with a YES or NO reply, if it was me or not. I replied with NO... They then sent another text asking me to wait for call or call them back on, 1300 705 750, which is supposedly my banks "fraud department"..

I have just got off the phone with them. They actually are a company that checks for fraudulent activity for small banks and credit unions. My card had been attempted to be used, it is now cancelled and I will have to wait for a new card..
Bloody sneaky people. I live on a disability pension, as i have stage 4 cancer and I don't have much money to spare. I know it was only a small attempt, but $40 is medication money for me! 😩

Caller: Text from Ubank

Legitimate text from UBank, didn’t click anything but called the fraud number from ubank webpage. Card was compromised and attempted use overseas. Notified them this number is not on their site as a legitimate number.

Claimed to be from my bank - different bank from others mentioned here. Had last 4 numbers of my card. Claimed it was frozen due to suspicious transaction. Scam

This is a legitimate number used by Vigil fraud monitoring service for FI's.

Caller: UBank

Came from UBank frauds department - transaction on my card had been stopped (they quoted last 4 digits). I thought it might be a phishing attempt so I emailed Ubank with the mobile number and they said it was legitimate. If you go on UBanks website, they don't list this number as one of theirs, which is why I was skeptical. They also blocked my card.

Was a text message from my bank saying they have suspended my card due to suspicion transaction and then said they would call, they did call but I didn’t give them any information and hung up on them.

Same as others - last 4 digits plus the name of the bank that the card is with.

This was a txt msg about transaction with numbers from my account, the transaction was fraud

SMS containing actual information. Very scary. Private number then ensued asking for all home loan money.

Scammers!! Never give or confirm details
