An Indian lady claiming to be from Telstra, fool...I am not with Telstra! Scam!!! I have seen elsewhere they have also claimed to be from Com bank and Pay Pal, DO NOT BE FOOLED!

Be careful! They are very convincing. Pretending to be from Telstra to notify you that your IP settings (internet) have been changed to public, and thet she can change it back [to private].
Guess what she needs to do that??? You guessed it, access to your IP settings.
If you have been tricked by this very convincing scam and provided anyone access to your internet settings (or wifi settings, broadband settings, nbn settings) do the following, or get help to do the following:
• run scans on your devices asap to check for malware
• change passwords for accounts
• check your internet settings and change password
• check financial and other accounts
• report to Scamwatch, Police, Cybercrime detection

THIS IS A SCAM NUMBER. DO NOT TRUST. Person called saying they are from Paypal and that someone in Colorado was trying to charge thousands of dollars to my Paypal account. They said they didn't need any personal information from me but needed me to call my banks to tell them Paypal was holding the suspicious transactions. They wanted to know who I banked with and what my bank balances were. They had my email address and home address. I called Paypal's help centre and they said this is 100% a scam. The person had hacked my Paypal account.

0489 942 019 claimed to be Telstra and my IP address has been made public - wanted to help me address the issue - told her i would contact Telstra myself so she said ok bye and hung up.

Caller: Telstra

saying they were from Telstra and wanting me to download supremo software to get access to my computer so they can update computer settings

Told me I was being scammed from someone overseas (Other) reported by 49.178.148.xxx
Told me I was being scammed by someone overseas but didn’t know what bank I was with then put me through to my fraud team for my bank without me telling them

When I asked to be taken off their call register - they just hung up

No dial tone when calling back. Do not answer.

They rang saying I had purchased an iphone for $1299 on my amazon account and asked if I wanted to proceed. I have not bought anything or logged into my amazon account for months. They asked when I last logged in so I said ‘you tell me when’ and they hung up.

Caller: Said from Telstra

Said my private IP address was now public. And she could help me make it private again.

No idea who but lots of noise in background

said they were from Paypal and wanted to check my email address linked to that account. hung up.

This person is trying to do Remote access scam!
Pretending to be Telstra. Calling ro tell you your internet settings have been changed [from private to public]. She can change them back by accessing your internet settings!
Do not give anyone access to your internet settings!

Claimed to be from Telstra calling about my internet connection. I don’t have an internet connection with Telstra.

They said they are from testra

The scam call and said they are from Telstra definitely is scam call two people called in with same phone number

Caller: “Visa and Mastercard services”

They said a name, said calling from Visa and Mastercard services. Got them to repeat that. They said “are you aware there were two attempts for international transactions?” And as soon as I queries why my bank wasn’t contacting me instead, they mumbled something and hung up.
