Claimed to be a Fight Cancer Foundation, asked if I would do regular donations. Seemed like they wanted my payment details over the phone. I refused and they suggested to send me a paper form for a once off donation and wanted to know my home address. I suggested that they send the details to my email address but they said their policy is to do paper forms only. When I told them I was checking their phone number online to make sure they were not spam, they promptly asked to donate via their website and said good-bye. All looked like well presented phishing.

A man with British accent. Claiming they are amnesty. Gave a full presentation of how serious the situation is and pushing for me to make on going donations. I told them I more comfortable doing it through the website and do my research. They said it’s more efficient to do it through them. And they can give me a number to call to verify himself. I said no I’’d rather do it through the website.

The man on the phone claimed to be from Amnesty International which I had signed a few petitions for, I'm assuming he gathered my information (email, name and phone number) through there. He had an Australian Number.

He went on about the war crimes being committed in Gaza and why I signed the petitions and what made me decide to. He was trying very hard to reiterate just how bad it was and I mentioned that I had no source of income currently yet he continued to guilt trip me and pressure me (I only have a few dollars in my account so luckily there isnt anything to steal) I mentioned that I would just give a one time donation when I earn some money through the website but he continued pushing the phone transaction.

He asked me to give him my card information by entering it through the numberpad. He said he would "send me a care package" and updates after I give him my credit card details and that I would be paying a weekly donation of 10 dollars. I said this sounds like a scam and he promised me that this is Amnesty International and to call the number (actual amnesty number which is public)

I am incredibly stupid, I ACTUALLY gave my information despite feeling like it was a scam. I know that you should NEVER give your banking information over the phone and Im mortified I did this. Never, ever again. If you feel suspicious, do not do it. No real institution will ask you for card details over the phone.

If you have given out any banking information, please lock your card and call your bank to report your card stolen so they can send you a new one with different details.

Before, indicating the most serious threatening concern please be noted that presently India is going through the general elections because of which there is most likely and the high possibilities are that, there are not 100s but 1000s and 1000s of paid terrorists gangs are highly active in all over the world and without any doubt in mind, surely our Government, Detectives and Investigation Agencies must be aware of the presence of such groups in our most peaceful and loving country. There's a very very high possibilities for the reason of the sincerest request to alert the authorities to ensure whether this number belongs to one of those Hindutva Terrorists Gangs running and fully funded. Don't ask, through what resources...? Since, no common people as myself and those who are contacted by the phone number can answer this question, but hoping our agencies may have the answer that is why decided to write and lodge the request through this website, though it is unknown that, this website is the right source or may belongs to someone connected with the people of the phone number. Similarly, these groups exists all over the world and anyone, someone even if they like a comment on any social media platforms against Modi - the present PM of India and well known of being an ideal & the strongest supporter of Hitler and whatever was done which his parent organisation RSS, himself and his party are very much onto the same path to carry out against the minorities of India, mainly Christians, Muslims and the Sikh Community. Once again, Im 100% confident that the entire world is aware of what's happening in a state called "Manipur" where Christians were burnt alive, the women were raped and killed. And, one incident came into the notice only after the opposition leader of Congress Party, Mr. Rahul Gandhi visit, that incident took place few months earlier and only came into people's knowledge after he visited which is of the women forced to parade naked for kilometres (my hands are literally shaking while writing, tearful eyes and there's a shivers in my whole body) and then, they were raped publicly by God knows how many people & the numbers of repeats. Claimed to be from Greenpeace. Wanted a daily donation paid monthly when I said I couldn’t she went to change the amount. I told her I didn’t appreciate being pushed as she kept trying to get me. I guess she wanted bank details, I didn’t let her get that far. Told her not to call back, hung up th en blocked the number.

I called it back from my work phone (unlisted). It's a mob called "precision Connect", working on behalf of 'various charities'. They're gonna try to call me back when all their operators aren't busy.
