Its a scam. Here is what I got from them after the usual exchanges as described above... So you get a payemnt, send 1600 to them and then they cancel the payment in Paypal and you are left 1600 out of pocket. Very clever way to co-opt Paypal into the scam.

"Before i make the payment,there is something i need you to be aware of,I received an update from the shipping company that will be in charge of the pick up.They are saying I need to pay them their fees which is $1600 before they proceed with the collection and the only form of payment that they accept is Western Union Money Transfer.Where i am overseas,the nearest WU office is 8 hours away.I don't know if it will be okay,if I include this agent's fees in the payment I will be sending you now,so on receipt of the total funds,you will remove the additional funds of $1600 and help me send it at your local WU office,which

Cant even spell properly. Sent him a text back telling him to F-Off and get a real job!!!

I got the same guy and he is misusing Pay Protect Services from Car Sales now.

He uses an email address 'named' payprotect @ carsales.com.au. But the actual email address is <merchandisepickup @ post.com>.

So be careful.

They sent the exact same messages as above right after I lowered the price of my car. I got suspicious when they were overseas buying a car in australia, and had to pay the freight company via western union money transfer...

got the same message today on my ford on car sales. email is kellydownunder as well. when I saw there name as Kelly jane it was pretty obvious. They are trying to make an offer on my vehicle as I am typing this, so I am now playing with the fools!!

Same message for my car. Scam. They send you fake Paypal message that says the payment has been made.

I got the same message as soon as I posted on Trading Post for the first time. (I have never had this problem on Gum Tree) I got suspicious as the way they do it is unusual to me and I'm so thankful this site is up! you guys are awesome and saved me heaps!!! Why does the Trading Post not stop them as clearly it is coming through their site!!!! Not using Trading Post again.
