Obvious spammer simply by the spoofed phone number. Repeated number patterns and the "888" in the number, trying to phish for superstitious asian recipients as "888" is an incredibly lucky number in many asian cultures.

Amazon prime has been activated and $99.99 will be deducted from your bank account. If you wish to cancel please press one... Also got same message from 0488 878 922 an hour later.

Indian sounding gentleman who (after a slight pause when I answered) said he was John Smith from the NBN calling about my faulty line. A scammer. Criminal activity.

Today the number was from Paypal. Female voice sounded like a recording. I've heard her many times before

Amazon scam caller, wanted me to download something from Play Store, saying that I have been charged $99 anfmd the only way to cancel the transfer is to download an ap. Definitely a scam.

This number called me after a previous attempt of a different number. Bloody Indian scammers.

Recorded voice message about Amazon Prime subscription being cancelled due to insufficient funds, if you would like to reactivate your account to press 1. I pressed Hang up

Caller: Foreign caller

THIS IS A SCAM CALL!!! I answered the phone, caller said - Good afternoon madam, I am John from Visa security calling about your purchase this afternoon. I said what?, who did you say you were? He said something in a foreign language, then hung up.

Caller: Woman with Hindi accent

Professed to be from Telstra, but couldn't tell me which services I had with Telstra that qualified for the 40% discount, and used the wrong email which is not associated WITH my Telstra account. Had the correct name and the last three numbers of my mobile phone.

Caller: Amazon

She said my name. I said yes, she said she was from Amazon. I told her "oh another scammer - rack off and get a real job!" and hung up. Called again an hour later using 0488 878 797 (similar) for some more advice from me, but I didn't answer!

Originally called from 048878928. Two hours later called from0488 878 929. Breathing heard on line. Hung up.

Didn't answer, no msg left. Obviously a scam from previous comments.

Polite man with a thick Indian accent. He called our office number and I picked up. He asked to speak to the owner of the business. I was suspish bc apparently he's been trying to call for months but I don't remember picking up a call from him before... I put him on hold and searched for this number. Lo and behold, he's a scammer; with different personas too lol

Caller: 0488 878 929

This number called me claiming that their “company” had noticed errors or something with my internet access and ip address, and something about my ip being public rather than private? Idk it sounded kinda sus, and then they tried to get me to download some app (which my phone literally wouldn’t let me because of some billing issue I have with my Apple Pay) and they were REALLY pushy about me downloading it. After I got frustrated with telling them that I couldn’t download the app I hung up on them, and then this number (08) 7320 8889) proceeded to try and call me twice (I didn’t pick it up)

Suspect scam. Very strong accent. Said he was from Mastercard querying an on line purchase charged to my card. He knew my name and address. I don't have a Mastercard.

Someone called me from this number about overseas transactions through my bank, the call itself had terrible background noise. Called my bank afterwards to confirm if this was a scam call, was told that it probably was and I should be okay as long as I didn't share any personal details.
