Fraudulent number

Caller: 0488 878 924

This guy rang and said he was from eBay and asked did I know somebody in California that I would give permission to charge my ebay account $599? No I don't says I and he said the person was trying to charge my eBay account for $599 and this we say is suspicious. Oh I will ring eBay here to investigate....he said you can't do that as it is in a different area. BEWARE this number looks to be used alot for different scams.

called saying from paypal and that there was a $700 payment and press 1 or 2 - hung up

I answered the call, complete silence for 21 seconds. I hung up.

Received a call from this unrecognised mobile number. There was no message recorded. Not at all surprised to find the number reported here already.

Called re charge for opening an Amazon account, sounded a scam automated call

Male person with an accent said my visa had been compromised. I said I didn't have a credit card and the caller said it didn't matter as my account had been debited two amounts. I said thank you and disconnected the call.

A female with an undetermined accent called & said she was from Visa Mastercard. I pointed out these are different institutions. She claimed they were working together to target scams. She claimed there was a suspicious $699 transaction on my account. I hung up & phoned the number on the back of my card. They confirmed there was no unusual activity on my account. I did not give out personal information or use the word "yes" for any answers.

Called claiming he was with the commonwealth bank and checking on a recent withdrawal from my account l new it was a scam straight away.

Caller: Telstra...but not really!!

said they were from Telstra calling about our internet and that hackers were hacking our bank account...sure

Rung back. Mailbox is full so can't leave a message

My mobile didn’t recognise the number so I didn’t answer

Rang off before I could answer, no message, followed immediately after a call from a landline which has also been flagged as a scam from CommBank and as I don’t bank with them seems pretty certain to be a scam
