did not leave a message when my auto message bank kicked in. Obviously must have been some long-lost friend from Nigeria wanting to tell me that I won a prize... !!!

Nusiance call? Or try to get you to call back?

Caller claimed to be from the Anti-fraud Department of the Australian Government & was calling about an attempted fraud on me through PayPal. When I tried to get the name of the goverment department under which his "department" operated he stalled. Eventually he provided Cyber Security which is a branch of the department. Anyone who works for the government would know their department. I suspect the stalling was to allow him, or someone else, time to do an internet search. He was trying to get the name of my bank. He had all this information about where the transaction that he claimed that they had put on hold was done (USA), the amount of the transaction, that it was through Paypal, & that it allegedly involved my debit card but he did not know my bank. I will not go into all the things he tried to get me to provide my bank name so he could transfer me to the head office of my bank, as there were too many. I will say that when I said, more than once that I will take what he gave me - his name, employee number, the transaction amount, the transaction number & contact the head office of my bank he tried to dissuade me from doing that suggesting that I was going to contact my branch & that they think it is someone in my branch is selling my personal information to the scammers. My PayPal account does not have my debit card on it. He is a SCAMMER & I told him so & hung up.

Obviously a scam call - person spoke slowly trying to disguise his accent.

It automated saying that a sum of money is coming out of your account. They also say you can press 1 to talk to someone about it. ITS A SCAM

Caller left a voice message with sounds of call centre in the background. Nothing was said other than 'Hello?', and then hung up.
