A severe electrical storm occurred and official advice from Telstra indicated that the internet was down. about 1 hour later received a voicemail that first was in Chinese and then in English from a female Asian speaker. The message indicated it as Telstra and that I had to contact them or my Telstra connection would be terminated. Basically a typical SCAM call preying on fear and obviously targeting the Chinese diaspora.

Scam call saying they're from Vodafone.

Caller left voicemail - in a foreign language. ? Chinese

Telstra stating phone was to be disconnected. Scammer just blocklist the number

Same - phone about to be disconnected due ‘excess usage’

Robo-voice stating that it is Talstra and that the mobile service will be out of service soon and to press 1 to speak to an operator. Repeated in Chinese.

Telstra said suspected scam so I did not answer. Left audio message which I didn't open

Claiming from Telstra and my phone account was to be disconnected
