Caller: “Clever Contacts”

Thanks to this very useful website - along with all of it’s wonderful users, that care enough to leave contributions - I have just learnt that the suspicious phone number that called me - 0488 862 181 - belonged to a business called “Clever Contacts”. This business evidently specialises in calling up unsuspecting folks like myself, at inconvenient times, to ask for money, all done on behalf of a charity organisation - that may, or may not, exist? Hmm... Either way though, they are always gonna be annoying - regardless of their legitimacy level! So this number is now BLOCKED!

I called back the number 0488 862 181 and reached vm that said I reached Clever Contacts

Has scam written all over it

Called me twice but no answer when I called back.

When I called back it said it was Clever contacts calling on behalf of a charity.

Random call I’m on the do not call register so must be a scam

Ignore them, they call regularly during lunch and dinner times. Scammers.

Checked the phone which led me to this site. Thank you for the information. Number blocked. Christmas / New Year was a blessing without be hassled from telemarketers!

Didn't know the number so I didn't answer. Checked this website and found lots of people saying it's a company called Clever Contacts asking for money on behalf of a charity.

NEVER ANSWER NUMBERS YOU DON'T KNOW.
They ring 3 times and then hang up. Never leave a message either. Just block them
If it's a genuine caller, they will wait a while and call you again after leaving a message

Don't call the number back as you'll only ever get a voice message.
Do yourselves a favour and block the number. Happy days.

Called them back and their voicemail is. - you guessed it - clever contacts.

Incoming call came up as 'potential fraud'. The first time I rejected it. Today I answered and they instantly hung up. It's really helpful to be warned about this type of call. Thank you.

This number called me. I never answer calls who I don't know who they are. They didn't leave a message. Thankyou to everyone's messages, I will now block this number.

These people keep calling me and I don’t answer. I came on here and they are some people seeking money for a charity. I JUST got this number less than 3 weeks ago and so I know who I have given it to. SpinTel, is the only company I’ve given to and so I know they’ve sold my number to these charity callers! Piss off would you!! I’m going to cancel my contract with SpinTel now over this. I don’t tolerate this sort of stuff!
