Caller: Crime Syndicate

This is a spoofed number (the number is not associated with an active service). When this number calls your mobile number, if you answer the call, it will record your phone number as an active service used by a human (as opposed to the many mobile numbers associated with automated calling/texting systems). Once your number has been identified as an active service, it will be used by crime syndicates to send ongoing malicious text messages to you, seeking to get you to click on the links which will seek to gain further personal details about you, for the purposes using those details to commit identity fraud (eg. open bank accounts or seeking credit in your name, etc).

Confirming that your number is active annoying, so they on sell an updated list

I got contacted on my cell phone by 2 different people, claiming to be from "Dell technologies", asking to verify my work details so they can send me IT Accounts associated with IT assets. (They had my phone number and my work email address and role within my company and were looking to confirm more information).

They called from 2 different phone numbers 0488 861 195 on Jun 17) and 0488 838 748 on Jun 21).

I suspect these as scam as I do not manage anything with Dell technologies for work.
They might have got my information from Linked in (although I do not have my phone number on LinkedIn)

Can't seem to call these numbers back.
