I've received phone calls from this number every day for the last 3 days (different times, during business hrs). But because I don't know who it is, I don't answer, and no message is ever left.
If they (could be Energy Aust) really want to contact me, they should leave a message.
Until I know who it is, I'll continue to not answer.

Could be genuine because I do owe them money
But the automated questions didn't work properly, didn't give my name, and my phone warned about the number, 'Potential Fraud'
The guy who answered when I rang back sounded ok, Philippino i think, but when he mentioned my gas account and asked for personal details to id me, i lhung up,i dont have gas !

I called the number back and the person who answered knew my name and was offering solar panels and batteries

These people keep calling claiming to be energy Australia leaving half a message. I've contacted them & they said it's not them. I have blocked the number & they keep leaving the half message. Every day several times a day. I am absolutely sick of it. F*&k OFF!

Unsolicited caller. Unable to prove their identity. Not having their phone number listed in z directory. Asking me to press phone keys to continue.. Nah. They can F off.

Caller: Claimed to be from energy australia

I answered once and they claimed to be from energy australia. Knew my name and that I had a payment plan in place. Gave me a number to call them back on but this wasn’t listed on their website. Called the number when I searched for energy australias details and asked EA if they would be calling from that mobile number in which staff confirmed it wasn’t them. They tried calling many many more times about ten times in a day. Clearly there has been a data breach possibly with the call centres in the Philippines selling our data to third parties. EA needs to be aware of this. Beware.

Matched it up with the account number on my gas bill. Looks to possibly be genuine as it was just a reminder that upcoming gas is due. Have also already received Gas bill in the mail too.

I received similar msg so called EA. At first they said they didn’t send msg so I said there must be a data breached then they said it was them sending the msg and not worry. I don’t believe them.

A text message claiming they were energy Australia and saying I was $160.61 overdue on my gas account and to pay it by clicking on a link .. I’m always up to date in my bills so I knew it was a scam .. beware
