Caller: superannuation scam
They claim to be from the government to do an "obligation free" check on superannuation.
Caller: 'Super Information Team' Broadbeach Queensland
Called me and I didn't answer. Changed to no caller ID and called back 6 times.
Each time a different Indian person answered, each clearly reading a script.
"Hello, I am (English name) calling from 'Super Information Team'."
They then asked me my age, specifically being interested in whether I was 26-58. When I asked for their website they gave me a fake website (www.superinfoaustralia.com.au), told me they were located in Broadbeach Queensland, and told me that the company had been running for 5 years.
Caller: Candy (i think that is the name she used) from Super Information Team
Just received a call from 0488 814 609 advising they were from the Super Information Team. She advised that the Australian Government had recently made changes to Insurance attached to "inactive superannuation schemes" and they could be cancelled. She offered to help me if I answer 4 questions. I told her i was not interested and hung up.
Glad I googled this, same script, I asked where they got my number from, they said a super third party team, I asked for details about that and they hung up on me - the cheek! Caller: Super Information Team (Credit Department)

Received several calls from "*English name* from the Australian Government's Super Information Team". They begin by asking if my super has been impacted by "the recent changes". When I ask for clarification on the changes to which they are referring, they cannot offer a reply. They also ask if I'm aged between 26-58.
Caller: Super Information Team
Same spiel as in this thread but with a new number. Called from 0480 008 708. When I called them back they immediately knew my first and last name. Said they were calling as third party research regarding the governments policy changes for super and insurance.
Asked 3 questions: are you between the age of 27 and 57, between the ages of 57 and 77, are you under 27? Unfortunately they answered.
When I called them back to ask what organisation they were they said Super Information Team and directed me to the website superinfo.com.au - which funnily enough has a banner at the top clarifying that the website is does NOT do telemarketing and that superinfo.com is in no way associated with super information team.
Caller: 0488 815 501 - Super Information Team
Got a call today where the guy introduced that he is from something Super and about how some government changes are affecting my Super. I asked again who they were an the guy replied that he is from Super Information Team and had 3 simple questions to ask. the first was are you still employed.. I ended up saying `I don't want to talk to you` and cancelled the call.
I am a ex employee in SUPER INFORMATION TEAM and its a total scam. We gonna ask 3 quick questions and then try to get some informations. Caller: Super scam
Started talking about super. Sounds like an Indian call centre. They call every day on diverse numbers that have same beginning 0488 85X XXX.
Just had this exact call, I hung up and saw these messages. Called from 0480 045 980.
A woman said she was from Information Connect. They asked me if I was Cristina ... and I said no, you've got the wrong number.
I asked them for their company ABN and was provided the no. below.
Current details for ABN 66 644 605 363
Entity name: INFORMATION SUPPORT AUSTRALIA PTY LTD
ABN status: Active from 24 Sep 2020
Entity type: Australian Private Company
Goods & Services Tax (GST): Registered from 26 Nov 2020
Main business location:
I repeated again that I have no association with the company. She then said, "that's okay, we are calling everyone in Australia. We can update your details, you just need to answer 3 questions."
She asked me if I had a job.
I didn't respond and then she eventually hung up.
From the Townsville Bulletin : 20/10/21
"A financial services company has been slapped with a $100,000-plus fine by the communication watchdog for continually hounding consumers with telemarketing phone calls.
Super Information Team paid the massive infringement notice after an Australian Communications and Media Authority (ACMA) investigation found it called numbers listed on the “do not call register” nearly 900 times to advertise superannuation."

Filipino woman, misnamed company. Gave me the ABN number. Just said it was an Australia wide service to reduce people having to pay super insurance. Queried who had generated the company to undertake this advisory service, again gave me ABN and said she understood why I would be sceptical. Once it was apparent I was googling her, she thanked me for my time, wished me a blessed day always and hung up. Suspicious.

The same, and these people have been calling me for weeks now. The caller first said my first and last name several times to confirm that I was the person she was looking for. I didn't confirm my identity first, so she hangs up, the second time she told me she was from the Super Information Team. She told me I was in danger of losing an insurance from my super. She said I had to answer 4 questions for her to verify if my account, she asked if I was between the ages of 25-3, I stop the call.
Caller: So-called "Super Information Team"
Started with my name "...am I talking to ____". She knew my name.
I pretended that I am not the person just to see what she next....and she continued that I am from Super Information Team and that govt has made it mandotory to have the Super Insurance. then was going to start asking my details....
Called me from 0480 012 410

I just got a call from 0480 012 404 - caller said she was from the Super Information Team. She had my first name and last name and checked if that was me on the line. She started by telling me that the Australian Govt had made changes to Insurance attached to inactive superannuation account and I was in danger of losing that insurance. She said I had to answer 4 questions for her to verify if my account was at risk and proceeded to ask me if I was between the ages of 25-34. I refused to answer it and she then said that this service was free. I told her it was not about whether a service was free or not, I was not comfortable sharing my personal information. Blocked the number on my phone now.
Caller: 0480 012 ...
Same as everyone here. Last 3 numbers are always different. They gave me a website to check which I did but it was very plain and seemed too "clean". Checked their ABN and it came up on a website saying that this company are not affiliated with "Super info", unsolicited calls, should be reported etc. These guys are very bold though!.. the fact that they let you call them back and give you a fake website and ABN etc. I asked them not to call me again or I'll report them as their ABN is on the list as being fraudulent! He was polite and said "goodbye, for now" FOR NOW?!! TF outta here, cheeky turd.
Also.. just had to mention a previous comment in here from 'Chupapi Charot' in Honk Kong praising this company LOL you tool! Who do you think you're fooling?! We're all Aussies and here you come, Mr Chubacca or whatever your name is, from Honk Kong, pissing in my cup and calling it warm cider. I think next time if they call I'll have a bit of a laugh and screw with them to waste their time.. If we can't block their numbers there's no point getting angry about it

Totally a scam! Looks like a two pronged attack – first call is to see if you answer the phone and they ask generic questions (state live in, age bracket, etc.) the set up a call back. Second call will be where they try to get more information.
Person I spoke to couldn’t tell me where they were located other than “offshore”. Said their head office was in Broadbeach, Queensland but no information on where they were located. Couldn’t even tell me the what the weather was like!
I was surprised to be provided with an ABN (see below).
I Googled the ABN and found a reference on the Super Info website announcing that they are not affiliated and that it is a scam (https://superinfo.com.au/announcement/). They ask any calls to be reported. Also advise having your number registered with the Do Not Call Register (https://www.donotcall.gov.au/).

I am also contacted with this Company ( Super Information Team ) they deliver the same spiel that some of the complainants are receiving. They might be strange or annoying BUT this company is a legit Company. They had a huge help in my Super. They help me consolidated my super and they also help me check how my super is invested. And aside from that, They give me a projection on what I am on track at retirement age and even helps me to track If I am overcharged or paying excessive fees that I am not aware of. To sum it all this company has a huge impact and helpful in tracking my lost super. Their ADVISORS are very much helpful and very accomodating! A HIGHLY RECOMMENDED COMPANY FOR A SUPER REVIEW!
