They gave an ABN of 66 644 605 363. This is definitely a scam. Someone should report them.

Just received a missed call from 0480 012 434. I called back, it didn’t ring and went straight to an operator who knew my name. I cut the call because it felt suspicious. I rang back again, and again, without the call ringing, another operator picked up knowing my name. Stated that she was from “Super Information team” and the Australian government is doing an obligation free check on Superannuation. She proceeded to then ask me details about working and when she found out I wasn’t working, she claimed I was “ineligible” and couldn’t leave the call quick enough! - For a super check from the Aus Govt.?! - I don’t think so - just “super” sus.

I got a call from 0480 008 783. and 0480 008 745 same with "Super Information Team" offering free review. Lol

spoke very fast saying i only had limited time to act as the Aust Government was about to cancel my Super fund. i needed to give them my details so they can advocate on my behalf. each time i asked a question the woman got annoyed and repeated what she previously said. when i said i am looking you up on the internet for your organisation she disconnected the call

They rang on three different mobile numbers finishing with 8681,8687 & 8749. I didn't answer but rang back to the 8749 number using hash 31 hash to conceal my number. The guy with an Indian accent said he was from the Super Information Team so I finished the call. I have had a similar situation from another Indian call centre who are called Benefit Deal who want to get me to change Electricity Supplier. They have used so far 28 that is 28 different Melbourne telephone numbers. I am alleging that AGL gave Benefit Deal my details because I was with Origin and AGL had my detailed Information and as I understand local Electricity Suppliers are not allowed to cold call.

Another scam caller talking about the government and superannuation and that they are a 'third party research company' about policy changes for super and insurance. Told me he had three simple questions for me, the first being "are you between the age of 27 and 57", (very precise), which is when I told him I was done with the call and hung up.

Just hang up on them and block their number.

Caller: Super Information Team

Same thing 0480 008 724 0480 008 720 0480 008 708 0480 008 703 0480 008 754 - every day a different number for the last 5 days. I didn't answer but thought since they kept calling I should pick up. I asked why they were calling me they said we're calling everyone and when I asked what for it was to inform them of changes to superannuation for anyone who had super. I told them I wasn't interested and hung up.

all of the numbers call and hang up. They do not leave a message. When you call back, they ask is that Mr First name and not surname. They have poor english. Advise that they are on a recorded line..I Requested to find out what they were selling, and they did not answer..Hung up and blocked

Just received a call from these people. Super Information Team, all bull sh*t.Don't tell them anyhting.

Same as others, asking age, but I didn’t give them the chance for more.
Like the Nigerian scams, they deliberately use obviously foreign sounding people to eliminate those who are not gullible.
Ie, those of us here would never fall for there next phase.
But those who do not detect a problem will no doubt go to the next call with a deeper scam.

Super Information Team. Yeah nah, 2 staged attack. First call is confirm you answer and some dummy questions. They will try to dig deeper and get more information the second time on their second call. Old mate did not sound interested and was reading a script.

Called back and they addressed me by first name

Same story as above. Called and asked to have my name and number removed.
Asked who gave them my thumber - was a third party supplier - I asked who they were, they said they didn't have the information to hand.
Asked what Minister made the policy announcement around potential changes to super insurances - didn't know.

They call repeatedly on different mobile numbers, even late at night, never leave a message. I phoned one mobile number back and went straight to a call centre where they immediately knew my name and launched into a spiel about changes to super and insurance and they want to ask questions and claimed to be able to track lost super. It was most likely a Philippine's call centre. I felt suspicious it was a scam and asked for an ABN, surprisingly one was supplied ABN 66 644 605 363 - company is registered from September 2020 (a new company). I explained they were calling on a business number and there had been at least 18 calls from one of their mobiles (not counting their 2nd mobile) and this was not OK by me and could they take my number off their call list please. The lady was alarmed and said they would place me on the Do Not Call List. Definitely does not feel clear, especially the way they repeatedly call and try to rush you through a spiel to get info from you. Even if it is not a legitimate scam the pressure and amount of calls is not OK (and absolutely not professional). She tried to justify saying they were not asking for money so I questioned how that could be as they are a private company (PTY LTD), and they have to make money, i.e., as they are not a government service? Very nervous about that question. As per everyone's comments here, something feels off and dodgy.

Each time a different mobile number and different person. First two started with 0488 then a different third number.Second person even offer ABN number. offer obligation free assistance so we dont lose insurance for super. Called my super fund, they checked the site and ABN, thinks this is spam.
Very sus.

I got this call today. Concerned that they know my name. gave them some false age and work info anyway.

Everyone's best mate Ren from Super Information Team who rang looking for someone else. When I said it was a wrong number, he apologised but then launched into his spiel about Super access.

I gave him ALL the wrong information. Wrong state, completely wrong name that when using first initial - last name would be F. You. Proceeded to put on a little act. Decided I'd play the part of someone incredibly stressed, depressed and suicidal. Good times.
