Caller: Superannuation being 'cancelled' by government Spam - taking advantage of super law changes from earlier in the year.
The person claimed to be from a company calling on behalf of other super fund companies. According to her spiel the government was cancelling superfunds as of 'tomorrow'. They then wanted to ask me 3 specific questions. The first of which was if I was aged between 21 and 58. I stopped her right there and advised her I'd contact my superfund directly.
They were probably trying to rip people off using the 'Inactive low-balance super accounts' law that the government brought into affect earlier in the year. Check the ATO website if you have super and don't know what I'm talking about.

This number rang me seconds after I hung up on 0488 851 764 and did not leave a message. Very suspicious.
