Caller: Supposedly aurora but asked for our password when i answered there was just music playing then he just come on phone asking way too much private information

So pretty sure its a scam

Relieved a call from this number, young man had my first name and suburb. I hung up and called aurora directly and they confirmed that the call was legitimate! I would still encourage people to hang up and call companies directly to avoid scams but this one appears to be real, if slightly unprofessional to use mobile numbers.

A non human voice message saying "139301 to discuss your options". Doesn't say to call back or anything. I will choose the option of ignoring

Claimed to be with Aurora but wanted my details to verify who I was. Music to start the call, and then a friendly lady. Pretty certain it was a scam and if not, Aurora need to stop doing business over cold-call from mobiles

2 minutes of hold music before caller answered. Had my first name and when I asked why I was immediately on hold she said it was a predictive dialler and that she had answered as soon as the call dropped in. I asked why she was calling and she said it was about my electricity accohnt and gave my suburb. I told her that even if she was genuinely representing that company she could email me. I did not give any personal information including my email so we'll see if an email arrives. Definately not good business practices.

Asked to talk about my Telstra internet security. I'm not with Telstra and never have been. Scam

Music played. That's it. I hung up

A pre-recorded message was left but started halfway through the message. Sounds dodgy!
