Caller: Public Outreach La Trobe

Received a call stating it was about their telethon at La Trobe University. Hung up and blocked number. Seems like a scam. La Trobe has not released any information about such an event

This, and it close number groupings are from that Public Outreach group that also call on 03 Numbers and continually bombard you with unsolicited calls - IGNORE! Do not answer, they are nuisance calls.

I did not answer but googled this site and see it is a bit of a scam caller. Thanks for all your comments. Blocked the number now.

A young lady called to discuss care leavers eg young people who have grown up in care until they turn 18 and are then discharge 'to little or no support'. The caller was trying to solicit donations. It sounded like she was reading from a script and took ages to get to the point. It's the phone call equivalent of those charity people that approach you in malls.

Caller did not leave a message. Always calls around this time. A big scam!

Called back right away, number disconnected.

I called back number 0488 828 550 rang once then gets disconnected automatically.
