Received text message confirming 2nd Vaccination appointment tomorrow but asking me to register and asking for medicare card number and other details. Some difficulties on the site like not accepting some of my responses or taking a long time to respond! Am enquiring if this is a possible scam as when I rang the number I was told it does not exist!

Caller: Delete the text. I got a message telling me I had a medical appointment but I have not made an appointment. I hope everyone reading this does NOT click on the link and instead just calls their doctors office if needed. It is unprofessional to not identify yourself and I would not trust it. Scams are on the rise. It’s unacceptable to send a mystery text with link.

I just had a call from this number saying I have been investigated for baking fraud. Ask me to press # 1 for more details. Otherwise you will be arrested. It is SCAM. Just block the number.

Caller: We will never know... ... because "Optus advises this number has been disconnected". I concur with Scam - someone has hacked the booking service number, my doctor did use that service for appointments online but no longer. Clearly a scam.

I keep getting messages from this number. Rang the centre as I do not ever go there and they do not have the dentist mentioned. Ignore and don’t open the link.

It might be a legit booking reminder app as others keep saying... but in my case someone has booked me in for a Weight Loss Clinic. The thing is, I've never googled for weight loss in the past decade as I am in peak condition doing basic gymnastics, acrobats, HIIT, and athletics as my regular exercise.
So I'm definitely thinking something's suspect about all this.

Caller: 0488 826 170 If this is a legit booking confirmation service, it needs to be more specific and write my name and who the appointment is with. It looks exactly like a scam so I will not click on the link provided.

No they are not part of a scam. It's my Dr appointment reminder service. I am not sure how many practices use this number, it leaves a txt message only. Strangely, the number shows up in call history for that appointment day but as text on the previous day. That's probably just a bug of my phones OS.
