called the number back before reading all above comments... silly me... put through to a queue in a call centre so I hung up...

The caller reckoned I'd been emailed a $100 voucher. When I said I hadn't, he said he'd check my details. Then I told him number is on the Do Not Call register, hung up and reported it.

If I don't recognise a number this is the place I go to first - thanks to you all for sharing info saves me having to put up with these nuisance calls...I just block them as soon I see they are telemarketers.

Unscrupulous companies like this use a dialer so no human actually dials your number. As soon as you answer, there is a slight pause as the operator then takes over. They buy your number from a third party, and as soon as you 'sign up for a contest', they think you have given them the right to ring you at any time. They tend to ignore the DNC, but if you tell them that you have the number they are calling from and it will be forwarded to the authorities, who then will deal out a $10,000 fine for breach of DNC, you don't get the calls again.

They called my mobile number saying I was registered with them. I've never heard of them and certainly haven't registered. Told them to remove my details immediately and not to call again.

Wish I had never entered a competition! Non stop calls and emails that I never signed up for!

Calls a few times a day. Says there from Cruise Megastore. I just hang up and blocked now.

called and hung up rung the number back from a blocked number and it states Cruise world this happens frequently so have blocked the number now
