Caller: Text from CBA

I got a message saying my phone number had changed in my profile and to ring the CBA if it wasn't me who did it. I checked profile, all was good. I rang CBA and they said if someone accidentally changed their own number and made a typo, and put in my number, when they realised this and then changed it back, it would automatically send a text to the existing number(mine/their typo) when they change it back to their correct number.

Caller: Dodgy text from 0488 728 596

Purported to be from Commonwealth Bank (CBA) but confirmed with the bank that it was not. Worryingly knew details of a transaction though, and was trying to elicit payment.

I received a text message around 8pm one night that said my IT problem with my account was fixed.
At first I thought it was a scam but then remembered I had lodged a ticket with IT at the CBA couple of weeks ago.
I then checked my online account and it was fixed. So this is not a scam but a very unusual way for CBA to to pass on messages
Maybe just used by the IT department. So it is not a scam number.

Received an sms text message. My name isn’t Helen & I don’t have an account with commonwealth bank at Cabramatta so why would I call June at cba Cabramatta on 87611960 regarding a non urgent matter. Has to be a scam

Text message on a work allocated phone..don’t and have never banked with commonwealth bank. Reporting it as a scam

A scam SMS telling that my CBA credit card has been locked. I added it to the blacklist.

Caller: KYC

Said they are from commbank and have sent an email (also from KYC). I deleted both and got another msg.

Some ppl say it’s a scam others think it’s legit. I’m leaving it and will check with my bank.

The message I received last night after it called me, why CBA called me after working time and is that a message from real CBA
"Hi my name is Pri and I am calling from the Commonwealth Bank with regards to a personal banking matter."

got a call asking to input code MCO1 , smelt of a scam and after seeing all the complaints is a scam

100% scam. Claims to be combank which I don’t have. It’s a dumb scam because they messaged me a reset code. No number or anything possibly useful. But just ignore this old number that has been doing this for years.

Same I received an sms to check an important email andvtried calling the number which says disconnected so it could be an internet number which can’t be called but each and every single message I have ever received from commonwealth bank always has a bold header COMMBANK and this message only displays a mobile number which I’ve never seen before but will call cba

Caller: CBA

CBA internal risk department sending sms after numerous attempts to call, followed by an email requesting I contact them to check my details. Mine was a legit call so if you are receiving a text or call from this number and you do not bank with CBA then it is likely they have the wrong number or your number did previously belong to a CBA customer. If you do not answer or you block the number they will eventually send you an email if they have your alternate contact details.

Caller: KYC

This a legit Commonwealth Bank number. If you got a message from this number. Don’t reply or call back. Just go to Commonwealth number (132221), check email in your CommBank account (not email in Gmail) or go to nearby Comm bank. I got this message from number saying that I need to update my info, so I call them, also go to my account to do double check. Turn out it is legit message.

Received 4 messages in 1 day (March)re Cwlth Bank messages telling me my transaction has been declined due to "gone over your spending limit"
April another message which looked genuine, as i had been into the bank to change details.
Has to be a scam as none of my transactions were ever declined.
