0485 978 282 - Cryptocurrency scam

I am being absolutely POUNDED with calls from
0485 numbers, and each time I block them.& another kicks off. This has been occurring for at least 6 months now. Why are telecommunication providers not doing anything about this? It’s absolute harassment and if it continues he’s I will be making a complaint to the appropriate ombudsman, as we should all do. Please say you’re with me and will do it too?

Caller: Scammer

Any number starting with 04859 is from a satellite phone. Scammers.....

Caller: No one answered

Got a call from this number, but no one spoke and hung up. So I called back and then ==>> "Optus advises that the number you have called has been disconnected.

May be the scammers heard my voice and disconnected the number next second.

This is a scam ..... said his name was Grant and from energy that Jessica tried to ring me a few months ago he Knew my name and claimed to be from energy and his record showed I hadn't use the grant from the government.

Hung up, upon recall received "your call cannot be connected, please check the No. and call again "

Do not believe a word this person says. Numbers begining with 0485 are all suspicious.

Caller: Female from India

During her friendly spiel I interruped her and told her I was not interested and hung up. This number called back straight away so I turned the bell down to zero.

The lady on the phone talked about government subsidy of solar installation. When I asked her whether she was allowed to call a "Do Not Call" number and she hanged up.
I suggest registering your phone numbers (mobile and landline) with the Government's Do Not Call registry (https://www.donotcall.gov.au/). In case that you pick up a call which is not welcomed, simple ask if the person is allowed to call your "Do Not Call" number. This works. Never talk to unwelcome callers and tell them anything about yourself and your household.

Suspected scam I let the call ring out as I was talking to a store attendant at the time, no message was left. Shortly after a similar number called that identified as Commonwealth Bank …. this second call was definitely a scam call.

Scam call. Unfortunately all we can do is block number / numbers when we get them.

Caller from Energy Electrical Bowen Hills QLd. Claimed I have unspent energy grants owing to me. I contested this advice and told caller I am on Do Not Call register. He argued and said I am not. Hung up on him. Next time I will string him along for as longs as I can just to waset his time. Scam call for sure

Caller: Scam / phishing

They contacted us during midday claimed to be from a pathetic agency and they claimed we are available to claim a $3,000 electricity grant. Absolute load of garbage. Hanging up and they repeat to hassle ringing back. And they have the audacity to state people's first and last name. rotten dirty behaviour. Police need to become involved for these low life's to society.

Get calls from the 0485 numbers all the time. So sick of it.
