Came up on phone suspected Spam Debt Collector last few days a whole heap of similar calls starting with 0485 9** *** each time phone warns with red screen "Potential Spam" or "Potential Fraud"

Claimed to be Pay Pal and that an amopunt of $700+ was to be taken - press 1 for this or 2 for fraud or such.

Caller: Said from NBN

Call said from NBN to upgrade my NBN speed. Asked me to check modem lights then proceeded to get me to try and go to some other website to upgrade my connection. When I asked where can I go on the official NBN website to validate the caller and upgrade he hung up.

When I answered there were several seconds of delay, then a man's voice (with a strong Indian accent) told me that his name was John and that he was from the NBN. When I replied that it was unusual for an Indian man to be named John, there was a silence of a few seconds, then he hung up. Almost certainly a scam!

Indian scam caller pretending to be calling from Telstra wanting to update the software on my computer then locking my computer and asking for a ransom to remove it. (I am with Optus).

Hacker who is trying to get you to download softer, he is pretending to be from your bank saying there's been fraud. Their aim is to get into your NetBank app.
