Caller: ?

I missed a call from 0485 938 361 to my landline so I called it back. A man answered and just said "Hello" and I said "I have just missed a call from this number". He said "oh, this is a very important call about a state government rebate. Are you the home owner?" when I said "No" he then asked to speak with the homeowner and I said that "they weren't available at the moment and could I take a message for them". The man then just hung up.

This guy just phoned to get my permission to read my electricity meter. It's on the outside of my house near the front door! I asked why & he said they would read it to see if my meter was running too slow or too fast. I suggested that would not show that information. He asked if he had permission, I said NO & if a person came & knocked on the door I may give permission. Then he started on solar panels....I told him I was not interested - so then he argued with me saying I could reduce my bill by 80%, then wanted to know when I would be home. Said I didn't know & wasn't telling him. He said he was from the Government Rebate - did not believe anything he said. Had a call yesterday from similar number 0485 905 024, same story but about hot water systems.
