Rang for a few seconds, no message left, unknown. Suspect spam. Have had many similar calls from other mobiles recently. I block and delete.

when it came up on my phone, it just says its from "australia" so clearly not a mate calling me. not going to answer that

Did recognize number, not in my phonebook no message left. Rang back and got " call failed & busy signal" suspect a scam. Blocked & deleted.

Yet another intrusion into my life by some moronic scammer who of course didn't even bother to speak. I've now had so many scam calls from 04859 numbers that I'm going to block the range of numbers.
Please don't answer calls from unknown numbers, and do not call back (why would you, if they haven't bothered to speak?). If they call more than once, block the number if you can. If it is or probably is a scam call, please identify it as such in your reports.
Please also note that the Do Not Call Register is not an international police force of some sort that tries to identify and deal with the criminals who establish scam factories in Cambodia or Angola or wherever. As anyone who signed up knows, it was set up to stop actual Australian businesses making unsolicited calls by fining them if thy do. That doesn't have the very remotest thing to do with overseas scammers.

Call centre sounded like from overseas. Man asked me if I had received a rebate on my energy bill. I said Gas or electricity? This confused him so I hanged up on him.

Annoyingly i answered thinking it was from work & they hung up, so no doubt I'll get 500 more scam calls now

Scam call about hot water systems, can hear other agents in the background telling people they’re from different locations like Hawaii or Australia

Hung Up. SCAM, blocked.

Rang twice, answered, no response (not even background noise) then hung up. Likely just scam number or bot confirming actuality of a mob number, which is then stored in dbase. Block number.

"Ok...mumble mumble"
End call.
Works every time.

Silence for 3 seconds, then hung up. Wouldn't normally answer, but was waiting for a call from a shop. Grrr..
