Showed up as suspected spam on the caller id i did not answer the call so i can not confirm

Got call from 0485 837 319. Phone didn't even ring. Had calls from mobiles starting 0485 a lot, last digits change every time, phone usually rings about three times if I do hear it, then it stops. It is a scam. Its persistence, even though I don't ever recall trying to answer, tells me that it is a computer generated call, it just trawls through random numbers until it gets a hit. Unfortunately if you do happen to answer any of these calls, even with no intention of responding or waiting to hear them when they get through, their system registers that there is an active number there and the calls will keep on coming.

Possibly a scam ?
