TKW Research, on behalf of the Department of Health, is currently conducting the 2022 Victorian Population Health Survey (VPHS) – a telephone survey using mobile phones. The survey is conducted annually and has been running since 2001.

You may have received a voicemail saying:

“I am calling from TKW Research in Seaford on behalf of the Victorian Department of Health.

We are calling mobile phones to contact people living in Victoria, aged 18 and over, to conduct an important study about health and wellbeing issues. The results will be used for policy, planning and research purposes, to improve the health of the Victorian population.

Please call the Department on 1800 658 830 if you would like to schedule an appointment at a time that is convenient to you, otherwise we will try to call back at another time. Thank you.”

About the Survey

The Victorian Population Health Survey gives an annual assessment of the health status and wellbeing of adults living in Victoria and provides key information about the health of the population such as smoking, exercise, healthy eating and mental health.

The 2022 Survey also has a particular focus on collecting information about any changes to lifestyle behaviours in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Survey’s findings will be used to inform evidence-based policy development and strategic planning across the Department of Health, other government departments, and the wider community.

If you decide to take part in the survey, you can choose not to answer a particular question if you do not wish to do so. You do not have to give a reason for not answering a question.

I've traced both numbers and it just doesn't feel legit - why use two different numbers? Just use one standardised number. If the government really wants us to participate in these surveys, why outsource to illegitimate sounding call centres? Wouldn't recommend picking up these numbers.

Just received a call from this number. I don't even live in Victoria. Make sure the caller lists provided for "research" is for customers that actually live in the state

I picked up and someone cleared their throat and hung up. TKW(?) are missing a bit of QC. Number blocked.

Called at 8 O'clock at night . Told him to go try SCAM someone else .

Called was an Indian lady sounded very scammed told her I wasn’t from Victoria and hung up.

I advised the caller that i was not living in victoria.
caller was incredibly rude and persistent. She refused to take my name off the call list even though i do not meet the criteria and continued insisting that i answer her interrogating questions. I had to actually hang up on her.
Screen your staff better - these aggressive rude people are putting your company in a negative light.

Got a call this morning from this number. Don't know if I trust this as they cannot even get the state right. They purport to represent the Victorian Government conducting a health survey of Victorian residents. I don't even live in Victoria, nor was my mobile phone ever registered in Victoria. Perhaps they should review their lists before making any more phone calls to non-Victorians.
