She said she is interested in one of the kids toy that I've post on the Gumtree and would like to purchase it. She told me that she has arrange the pick up through StarTrack but delivery by Aus post and with a link attached for me to fill in my details. when I open the link it looks normal so I followed steps to filling my details. Until it ask me to fill in my bank card details with CVV number then make me have a second thoughts, it shouldn't ask you for the CVV number when you try to get your funds. So I stop it and ask her to transfer the money to my account instead then she gets angry at me...So I know it's scam!

Same as all other reports with WhatsApp message received shortly after posting ad on Gumtree. Did not click on link sent. Confirmed with Auspost that this is a scam.

Scammer via gumtree was "interested" in an item on gumtree. Asked to arrange Startrack courier did I know how it worked? I said sounds dodge, scammer, reported & blocked number.
Name was "Ayla Jones" on whatsapp, with a generic photo of a white/blonde hipster couple as the profile pic.

same as above, very fast response to a new gumtree ad. Messaged via whatsapp, ignores questions and insists on sending a link that I have to pay, when I explained I have products shipped from the warehouse. Dodgy as, report and block.

Caller: Scam Gumtree Buyer

Arranged Skytrack/ Aupost same as other reports and requested credit card details to send item. Now cancelled card and waiting for bank to answer their HOTLINE?

Where selling something on Gumtree and Facebook marketplace. They wanted it to be sent to them and organised AUSPOST to pick it up. The Page looked suspicious and they wanted me to enter my details plus credit card details.

Don't get fooled by their profile picture. It's scam
