I’m getting so many every day I’ll block one number to only get another 4 different numbers calling back.

Spam calls possibly generated by machine

Of the same time stamp @1207 receiving the following calls :
3 from Australian mobile
0402 443 300
0485 813 670
0476 857 122
2 from Iran
1 from Denmark
1 from Philippines

missed the call and tried to call back but the number was disconnected

Scam call about cancelling an Amazon account

Caller: It's an automated voice message

I hung up as soon as I heard it's an automated vm and blocked the number. Didn't want to waste any more time!

A guy from India tried to say that someone had made an unauthorised purchase at Amazon using my details.
He got me to download an App called Zoho Assist.
I made out I did download it and played them along and wasted about 15 minutes of their time before I told them they were a scammer and they should stop contacting Australians. I told them I was also reporting it to the Police.

Count the rings 3 it should stop they want you to call them back

scam telling me that $29.99 is going to be deducted from my Amazon account of whitch I dont have one and advised to push 1 to query, I just hung up

Unfortunately the Do-Not-Call register is ignored by illegitimate Australian and overseas marketers/scammers who have access to the public telephone system. The one major downside of the international public phone network is anyone can attempt to call anyone on it. The best workaround I use to avoid distraction is Google Phone on my Android 10 phone - it has a socially data-sourced SPAM call filter that automatically rejects calls based on a number of criteria including the caller-ID. In fact I haven't received a scam call in months and am only writing this because I looked at my Spam history and it showed this number being rejected multiple times. The one thing in our favour is scammers sometimes use a legitimate caller-ID (like this one - this is actually their number) to avoid automatic dumping by Spam systems however they can't defeat Google's social data which knows which real caller-ID numbers are frequently used for scam calls. I in no way work for or benefit from Google by mentioning this - I'm sure there are third party apps for Android and iOS that do the same thing and I highly recommend them :-)

This was a Amazon prime scam from kolkata India. It’s a refund scam where they pretend they are giving you back your money but somehow over pay you a lot of money in the hope you will buy them gift cards to repay the money.

Didn't answer. checked this site during call & found the reports.

Did not answer. I thought it was just another Scam “AGAIN”. I did turn out to be one, I am so sick of them all. We blocked them once but that did not seem to last long. Charities are exempt.
