Caller: 0483 903 558 / claimed to be “Hello Fresh” *Likely a scammer*
The caller has strong customer service skills and an Fillipino accent.
They claim to have information about your past Hello Fresh arrangement and they’re seeking feedback on why you cancelled.
They then proceed to offer you a discount offer on your next box, but only if you provide your mobile number or home address.
When I asked them to confirm as they’re the one who called me. They said they can’t for security reasons but they could send me a text where I can confirm my identity via a link. But I must confirm my number or address (even though they called me / already had it) 🤪
When I explained that we both haven’t vetted one another and this is a security concern. They advised they understand.
Whether the individual was a genuine employee of Hello Fresh or not, their approach to validate user identity is concerning.
Hello fresh have their own portal where your information is saved so their claims of only being able to apply a discount by you giving info and clicking a link… Highly likely a scammer.
