I tried to call back the number 0482 364 897 but the person who picked up the phone disconnected the call

Claim to be from a claims department - It's a scam

Likely scammer/hoax. Ask my wife about her car insurance claim. She has not had an accident for 12 years and that was hitting a kangaroo.

I've received a couple of calls from 0482 364 897 and both times I have called back (from a private number) I get a recorded message saying "Optus advises that this number has been disconnected). So clearly it's some kind of scammer - they never leave a message, of course.

I answered didn't say anything put them on loud speaker hung up

Just received a call. Asked if I was in an accident in the last 2years. Told her that I couldn’t understand what she was saying as her microphone was too close to her mouth and was disconnected.

"Quick claim services" about an accident. LOL

Apparently I had an accident and made a claim. I said, Oh crap did I, when? and they hung up.
