Some one with a Indian accent called and said they have received a payment request from my account for 1800 $ and want me to authorize. I said I am currently holidaying in Australia and I do not have an account here locally. They hung up Seems this is a scamy

Caller: 0482 142 090 Said they were from VISA Mastercard. This sounded suspicious so I kept pressing them about where they were from and why they were calling. They then said they were from ANZ Bank and asked if I authorised a payment to America. When I said I didn't bank with ANZ they hung up.

Someone with a thick indian accent in a loud call centre saying they were from "VISA Mastercard Fraud Department" - the two largest credit companies in the world certainly don't have a combined fraud department so I hung up.

Said they were Harry from VISA Mastercard security. I'm sure the combined security does not exist and if it did they wouldn't be calling from a mobile number.
